My mom is a master weaver and has helped develop and improve on many of the traditional as well as contemporary sets that are now popular among our Chakhesang tribe as well as other tribes too. She has also trained many young women to earn a livelihood through Loinloom weaving before she officially retired from active weaving. She still takes a lot of interest in developing new designs and guiding young enthusiasts.
This set is the Chakhesang Züvene or young women's lower bodycloth and sports the unique khunyo pi stitch that appears on most Chakhesang shawls and Mekhelas.
