Arcoiris Life - How to Style a Shirt Dress!^^

Arcoiris Life - How to Style a Shirt Dress!^^

It's cold in Kohima already with a crisp chill in the mornings and evenings but when the sun is out, there is much room for putting your best foot forward or your best "shirt" forward in this case. I don't particularly like shirt dresses but I totally fell in love with this piece by Arcoiris. Arcoiris is a clothing brand inspired by the riot of colours that make up the different shades of our lives. The brand has on offer an eclectic mix of lifestyles products ideal for urban youth. Find more exciting pieces here. I often borrow my sister's oversized shirts in summer but this just seemed so perfect for a slightly colder day. Tall boots and a bomber jacket keeps me warm while the crisp white & print Shirtdress gives the right amount of casual mystery, making it just right for a coffee date or even a girls day out in the winter sun. To add some glamour, my faux hair earrings by Something Naga and stud bracelet by Arcoiris.

Clothes that live - Anahat^^

Clothes that live - Anahat^^

There are some clothes that make you feel beautiful and some that make you come alive.  Anahat by Bindi Subba is a label with beautifully earthy vibes that make you feel real close to the earth - nature, the soil, the moon and the soul of the earth. It brought out the child and the woman in me at the same time and gave me a calmness that can only come from being close to the earth even though I was surrounded by a cloak of gloom in the aftermath of Diwali in Delhi and the chaos of city life. I love the earth tone makeup by Christine Shihchin Hsiung and thanks to my sister Lulu for the lovely photography.

Love from Myanmar^^

By now,  you must know that I am partial to the label péro by Aneeth Arora. What's not to love? Clothes made with love just for me and the colours and fabrics and the people who make them - all simply special. I was really happy to receive these mix and match pero moja. 3 of them in a set to mix and match as I please! Isn't that really cool? I could only wear two here though.

Rajasthan Diaries : Udaipur^^

Rajasthan Diaries : Udaipur^^

For a hill girl, the sands and lakes of Rajasthan has been magical. This was my first visit to Udaipur and I spent two days exploring the bylanes of beautiful Udaipur. It was not enough. I just have to come back again to see more. I stayed in a cute little hotel with a gorgeous garden by the lake and had a fabulous stay before I travelled on to Jodhpur.

Allahabad Story^^

Allahabad Story^^

2016 has been a year of discovering India's holy places I think. Starting with my trip to Varanasi followed by Allahabad. Next on my list is Haridwar and Rishikesh which I have often passed on my way to other cities but haven't had a chance to discover. Perhaps after the monsoon lifts.

Lillie by Ruthie^^

White off shoulder cotton top from Lillie by Ruthie I love receiving goodies from sweet angels who are clothing lovely people around the country through their curated online stores or obscure classic one of a kind boutiques. I care about quality and taste as much as the price tag and it's great that nowadays, we get to enjoy wearing stylishly on trend outfits without breaking our fragile bank balance or suffering wardrobe malfunctions in newly bought clothes.

Happy Women's Day with Statement pieces by Anu Pd^^

Happy Women's Day with Statement pieces by Anu Pd^^

I have always enjoyed styling Anu PD's versatile garments. It's quite challenging to tell the truth but it never fails to tickle my brains and push me to do fun things with them. Take these two pieces I am wearing here. One is a brocade dreamy top and the other is a bejeweled black and gold cape. And my silk wrap skirt forms the perfect foil for both pieces. These photographs were shot in my hotel room in Varanasi where I visited recently and I was in the mood to celebrate life, beauty and change in a serene way, watching the waters ripple, lit diyas floating by, bells ringing, priests chanting, feeding the gulls and watching the smoke rise and become one with the skies. Let me talk about AnuPD's #VersatileGarments. Label Anu PD is a fun-take on what clever fashion design is already on offer. It is like deconstructing and simplifying elaborate couture pieces and yet they are so glamorous and multi-dimensional. You can just thrown it on top of your tees and jeans and

February Bling from Suhali Jain's Waves of Hearts^^

February Bling from Suhali Jain's Waves of Hearts^^

I am yet to meet a girl who doesn't like jewellery. Maybe not everyone loves to wear jewellery everyday but I think every one likes to look at them or own them or wear them at one time or the other. In a family of many sisters, I get to borrow, beg or steal accessories and jewels and they never fail to make me smile. My jewel style is sometimes statement pieces, sometimes OTT pile ups and sometimes, just a classy string of pearls or an elegant rock.

Peachy in Bhopal Story^^

Peachy in Bhopal Story^^

I had the pleasure of exploring the city of Bhopal for a weekend in February and had a gala time. Here are some cool photos from that lovely trip. Hope you all love going through it as much as I enjoyed putting it together. The weather was sunny and warm with flowers in abundant colours so I decided to stick to a rosy feminine pastel shade in lace and some faux fur. Not forgetting the bling at my throat and sleek pressed hair. And ballerina flats in glittery brown.

My First Style Date with Flyrobe^^

My First Style Date with Flyrobe^^

We girls have cupboards full of clothes and yet, when we need to step out for a special date or even coffee, we just don't have anything to wear! Anything new or appropriate, that is. How I often wish that there was a store or service which would send over lovely goodies to wear every time I had to step out so I could wear something nice and new without having to worry about closet space or paying a bomb for a new outfit!

Valentine's Day Rush^^

Valentine's Day Rush^^

Red is the colour of love and this Valentine's Day, I am going red, with a touch of gold. Delhi is finally seeing some sun and a riot of colours with spring blossoms and that is putting me in a festive mood. Valentine's Day is as much about people in love as it is for siblings, family and friends. I intend to spend some quality time with my loved ones as usual. Maybe over many cups of Kashmiri Kahwa tea and plates of home cooked delicious pork curry and soft warm rice.
