I am yet to meet a girl who doesn't like jewellery. Maybe not everyone loves to wear jewellery everyday but I think every one likes to look at them or own them or wear them at one time or the other. In a family of many sisters, I get to borrow, beg or steal accessories and jewels and they never fail to make me smile. My jewel style is sometimes statement pieces, sometimes OTT pile ups and sometimes, just a classy string of pearls or an elegant rock.
I had the pleasure of exploring the city of Bhopal for a weekend in February and had a gala time. Here are some cool photos from that lovely trip. Hope you all love going through it as much as I enjoyed putting it together. The weather was sunny and warm with flowers in abundant colours so I decided to stick to a rosy feminine pastel shade in lace and some faux fur. Not forgetting the bling at my throat and sleek pressed hair. And ballerina flats in glittery brown.
What do you do on a sunny December afternoon in Delhi on your day off when your sister who lives in another city comes visiting? Drag her out for a photo op and then go shopping in the famous street stores of Saro, sample some street momos and then head home with goodies you bargained your heart out for. Just another day of fun with sisters.
We girls have cupboards full of clothes and yet, when we need to step out for a special date or even coffee, we just don't have anything to wear! Anything new or appropriate, that is. How I often wish that there was a store or service which would send over lovely goodies to wear every time I had to step out so I could wear something nice and new without having to worry about closet space or paying a bomb for a new outfit!
Red is the colour of love and this Valentine's Day, I am going red, with a touch of gold. Delhi is finally seeing some sun and a riot of colours with spring blossoms and that is putting me in a festive mood. Valentine's Day is as much about people in love as it is for siblings, family and friends. I intend to spend some quality time with my loved ones as usual. Maybe over many cups of Kashmiri Kahwa tea and plates of home cooked delicious pork curry and soft warm rice.
